Although digitization is progressively settling in many areas of work, plant manufacturers have the same tools as they did a decade ago. Despite the fact that tasks are becoming more and more complex and require extensive training, the industrial environment is not integrating solutions to improve the day-to-day work of technicians. This reality means that, on a daily basis, there are great dependencies on tacit knowledge, which is lost as it cannot be tangibilized. The processes are full of inefficiencies and production downtimes are frequent, which is an obstacle to the company’s productivity. In the event of incidents, technicians have to resort to paper manuals, which make it difficult to find a quick solution and often end up not being used. Solution

Our ATR solution is an Augmented Reality-enhanced tool that facilitates and optimizes remote technical assistance. It allows technicians to connect with experts in a few clicks and through multiple devices, such as, tablet, smartphone or smart glasses. ATR facilitates the transmission of critical knowledge from remote, establishing an audiovisual connection in real time and supported by advanced tools. During an assistance, both technician and expert can synchronize indications to the assets, detecting the problem with greater agility and solving it effectively. ATR enables unlimited communication, with real-time chat that translates into more than 40 languages. Other features include screenshots, document and screen sharing. The collaborative nature of the tool allows to invite as many experts as necessary to the meeting and when the connection ends, a summary of the intervention is written by all participants. In addition to enabling fast and efficient incident resolution, ATR digitizes the knowledge generated in each session for centralized retention. With each intervention, ATR generates automatic reports that systematically record the resolution process.
