Every year, more than 1,9 million people die due to work accidents all around the world. Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) trainings are essential for companies to avoid these accidents. However, it’s not always easy to raise awareness among workers who carry out practical trainings. Recreating risk situations in trainings can sometimes be dangerous as well as very costly.
In addition, the difficulty of evaluating trainings and making sure that learners have mastered all the contents and HSE procedures is also a problem for many companies.
New technologies such as virtual reality (VR) offer a great opportunity to help solve all these problems, and to adapt health and safety training to the new generations of learners.

Solution

Ludusglobal offers companies and HSE trainers a new way to transmit workers their health and safety knowledge. By hiring a license, clients get access to a full catalogue of diverse virtual reality simulations. Fire extinguishing, safety officer at height, plant risk assessment, electrical hazards… the catalogue is constantly growing, adding new contents and updates.

In the platforms early days, we solely offered industrial safety related content, whereas currently, we create simulations applicable to any field, such as road safety, CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and postural ergonomics.

VR helps making trainings more dynamic. Trainers can put employees face to face against virtual risks, such as warehouse fires, electrical accidents, or falls. Experiencing sensations while learning helps to raise awareness among workers and retain further information, what we know as ‘Learn by Living’.
