Problem to be solved

Lean Manufacturing training always takes place in the presence of a Lean expert trainer, who often uses collaborative board games such as production chain simulation to learn the Lean concepts. This method, though very attractive and pedagogically efficient, is expensive because of travel’s expenses for trainers and employees. Moreover, this training method takes a lot of time and is very dense since it is necessarily scheduled during a full day or even during a few successive days. Finally, it does not take into account the learners’ level and learning’s pace.

Lean e-learning courses on the other side are mainly based on PDF support, slides, videos and virtual classes. These e-Learnings are not very interactive, are very theoretical and the transition from theoretical learning to practice is not easy. Many companies complain that these trainings are not engaging enough for their employees. In many cases, learners do not finish the training course (30% completion rate on average for these e-learnings).

Solution

The 7-Shapes School, a lean school 100% online, was born to reinvent lean training and offer new learning methods based on a simulation video game. The company Seven Shapes has existed for 3 years. It was co-founded by Julien Charles, Lean expert, and Frédérique Cauvin-Doumic, video game expert ! Two years ago, the first training course was launched and now the 7-Shapes School proposes 7 different courses.

We have created a playful e-learning platform available everywhere and when you want. Our particularity is our company simulation game ! The serious game is present in all our training. Thanks to the game, trainees put into practice lean methods, try, fail, succeed but most of all, learn at their own pace.

Our training courses are not only for companies but also for schools, students, Lean expert consultant and individuals who want to enrich their CV.

Success case. Results

Recently, Seven Shapes has collaborated with Eurotab company. They needed to train about 40 employees at the Yellow belt level. We offered them an “intra-company training”. We adapted our Courses to their specificities. The employees were divided into 4 virtual classes to learn. the result : each employee has completed the course on our platform 100% digital. All of them have passed the certification!
